If freight trains come through your town, so did
passenger trains til the '60s. Let's get Kentucky,
Tennessee, and Amtrak to bring back passenger
service!
A proposed Bluegrass line will take existing track
Cincinnati to Atlanta, with stops in Lexington,
Knoxville, and 18 other towns. Day & night trains
will run each way each day, quick as driving.
Amtrak coach tickets cost what gas costs to drive.
Col 2: What can you do on the train?
Sleep, enjoy view, talk, walk, eat/drink
Travel without a car or if you can't drive
Visit family, go to a festival, carry-on a bike
Ride Amtrak's Cardinal from Cincinnati to New
York, Philadelphia, Washington, Charlottesville,
Charleston WV, Indianapolis, or Chicago.
In Atlanta catch Amtrak's New York to New Orleans
Crescent train to Charlotte or Birmingham.
Take the proposed restored EK line Winchester
to Irvine, Beattyville, Jackson, or Hazard.
